Everything has kind of stopped for a while.

I’m not sleeping more than a couple hours at a time, if at all. I’m not knitting. I have no appetite. My lower back ached so bad I felt like I was going to throw up - I’m now taking ibuprofen a couple times a day, which I haven’t done for almost a year, but it’s not doing much. I have absolutely no energy; I feel so weak that I kept dropping things at work today, and everything feels heavy. A lymph node below my right ear and behind my jaw is swollen and tender.

I’m not entirely sure what’s going on, but I think it’s most likely small bowel bacterial overgrowth syndrome. Fantastic, eh? I don’t like it! I am not a call-in-sick person - I don’t get sick. I haven’t had the flu or a cold since I was 16 or 17 - well, I did have a lame cold for a couple days when Adam came up last Christmas, but I think that was just me getting used to Adam’s germs.. so it doesn’t count. In any case, there is some serious malabsorption going on. So.. that’s that. I am exhausted and doing nothing but watching Grey’s Anatomy, which has taught me that if I go into a hospital for anything, I will not come out.
